Be Careful which Printer Paper You ChooseWe all know price matters but in some instances going cheap can cost you in the end.  Let’s talk about cheap printer paper.  You need to first look at the project you are attempting to complete, if it is something that needs to be professional better quality paper will be a must.  A fact that many shoppers are unaware of is that cheap or generic paper even though the price is great absorb much more ink and toner than the high quality versions.  This can cause lines and text to appear blurry and use up your toner or ink much quicker.

Where is all that paper going?Does your office have a paper policy?  It would be easy to assume a majority of companies have instituted recycling policies – or at least set up recycling bins for office paper. Unfortunately, only about half of all office paper is actually recycled. That means a great deal of the 4 million tons of copy paper used each year ends up in landfills and dumps.  Many companies are taking steps to improve both recycling efforts as well as the manufacturing of recycled paper.

3 Ways to Save the Office MoneyIn tough times like we are currently facing every dollar a business can save is a big dollar.  Coming up with savvy money saving ideas or basic ones can lead to a cut in the office budget, it is also just plain good business.  I want to offer 3 ways to save the office money which to many may seem basic but are often overlooked.

Check your settings: I know this may seem silly but very rarely is it acted upon.  Get the team on the same energy saving plan you may use at home.  I mean turn off the lights when you leave your office, keep the thermostat a few degrees lower, and be sure all computers and printers are locked in to energy saving mode so they shut off during downtimes.  Trust me the bills will start to come down.
